About Our Church

Our Church began in 1989, as a congregation using Mandarin/English. In 1997 we began a Cantonese/English congregation. In 2007 we began an English congregation called Mosaic Christian Community. We are 3 congregations in one Church meeting at our new Church home at 286 Greers Rd which we moved into in 2005.

Our Senior Pastor and his wife are Jack and Becky Stuart. Pastor Jack is a Kiwi and Becky is from Hong Kong. They were among the original team that started our Church in 1989. Pastor Jack earned his B.Th from the Sydney College of Divinity, and is presently doing distance M.Div studies at Regent College, Vancouver. Both Pastor Jack and Becky spent 6 years working with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Hong Kong before coming to Christchurch.

Our Youth Worker is Eric Wong. After earning his Masters Degree at Canterbury University Eric joined the staff of our Church in 2005. Eric is originally from East Malaysia. He is presently doing part time Theological Studies.

Our Church Administrator is Cynthia Mo. Originally from Taiwan Cynthia has been working as administrator since 2004. Before immigrating to NZ with her family she worked as a High School Counsellor.

Pastor Kelvin Tong and his wife Queenie Wan are originally from Hong Kong. They have a daughter Kathy and a son Kemuel. Pastor Tong graduated from the China Graduate School of Theology with a Master Degree in Divinity. He is mainly responsible for the Cantonese Congregation in our church.

Jocelyn Choo, originally from Malaysia, graduated from the Bible College of Victoria, Australia with a Bachelor of Theology. Jocelyn is our Children's Ministry worker, and leads a great team of volunteers to serve our Children and their families.
